About us
233 Camden is an Army Cadet Detachment based in the borough of Camden, situated between Russell Square, Holborn and King's Cross.
We cater for teenagers between the ages of 13 to 18, our unit is mixed, which means we accept both boys and girls. Unlike other organisations, we are open to any young achiever in the area. We have a very unique history, one we are more than happy to share with you.
The Army Cadet Force (ACF) is a youth organisation that has been going for 150 years and is still going strong today. The main aim is making teenagers better citizens for our society.
Our motto is "Inspirare consequatur", "To Inspire to Achieve"
We teach essential life skills, such as; Teamwork, Self-Discipline, Determination and Leadership, skills that are needed in today's life. We also teach our fundamental core skills, using the Army Proficiency Certificate (APC) Syallabus, this covers a range of subjects from Helping in the Community, First Aid, Field-craft, Adventure Training, Shooting and many more.
If you like a challenge and what to know what limits you can be pushed to, if you like the idea of being outdoors completing all sorts of activities and adventures, then come on down and have a look at what we do.
